Exhibition Overview
"Paradise Found" marks Joel Mesler's first solo exhibition in Korea. The exhibition unfolds through three symbolic realms: Earth, Water, and Sky. Within these spaces, he explores emotion, creativity, and the search for one's own paradise. The exhibition is inspired by the artist's realization that true paradise is not found externally but within oneself. Having pursued his own vision of paradise, he now shares that personal journey with a wider audience through his work. Visitors are invited to experience this inward exploration and discover their own sense of paradise through his art.

Paradise with Blossoms
2025- The title, rendered in golden balloons reminiscent of childhood celebrations, appears light and buoyant. Yet the shimmering surface, with the delicate texture of foil balloons, subtly suggests the fleeting nature of beauty and time. Beneath it, soft pink petals drift gracefully, contrasting with the metallic sheen to create a meditative atmosphere. This interplay reveals the essence of Mesler's work, the tension between fragility and exuberant beauty. Through language, surface, and memory, he composes poetic scenes that are playful yet deeply sincere.

Untitled(I Love You)
2023- Although it appears as light as a beach ball, this piece is actually a heavy sculpture. Its meticulously crafted surface, painted in acrylic and enamel, mimics the inflated sheen of vinyl, and it is gleaming, soft, and buoyant in appearance. The phrase "I Love You" is formed in the shape of golden metallic balloons, further enhancing the playful illusion. This tension between lightness and gravity, fragility and ornate beauty, lies at the heart of Mesler's artistic language, offering both charm and depth.
